Hebrew Roots of Puritans

BEFORE THE REVOLUTION -- 1600'S

What many people do not realize is that there were several sects of Puritans who arrived in the New World. However, almost ALL the Puritans did NOT celebrate Christmas. In fact, Christmas was ILLEGAL in many of the early settlements and colonies up until after the Revolution War because the Puritans understood the very pagan roots of Christmas and how it had NOTHING to do with the Holy Bible.

The reason why George Washington was able to score a decisive victory against the British was because they launched a surprise attack on Christmas Eve, as the Britons were celebrating their drunken orgy feast. The Americans had been conditioned by the Puritans not to even celebrate Christmas.

Many also fail to realize that some Puritans wore VERY COLORFUL clothing and were very joyful and filled with the Holy Spirit -- unlike the soberly clad Puritans we think of today. Many of these Puritans not only believed in keeping the "Jewish" sabbath, but also kept some if not all of the Hebrew Feast days as outlined in Leviticus 23.

There were debates amongst the Puritans about the Hebrew Feast Days -- but some actually did celebrate them.

By the time of 1776, Christmas was still mostly NOT celebrate, and one reason Jews found such a haven in America was due to the Puritan-Hebrew roots of this nation.

The Puritans even believed America could be a second Israel, a light on the hill, a Zion called to bring the nations into Torah and YahShua.

So, let the CLARION CALL go forth, let us return to our Puritan roots and even BEYOND our Puritan roots -- to the fullness of the Torah and Spirit that the USA will be that shining light on the hill -- that Mount Zion -- to bring many into Yisrael!!!!
